Whimsical Wildflower Wedding at Bridal Veil Lakes

Bridal Veil Lakes feels like a magical forest oasis tucked up amongst the trees right on the edge of the Columbia River Gorge. It’s the perfect wedding venue if you are looking for that quintessential Pacific Northwest forest wedding. You feel wrapped in trees and soft grassy lawns that make the perfect backdrop for most wedding florals.

These flowers were originally supposed to look completely different. Quickly after they booked, Riley did a 180 and decided to go from a subtler color palette of blues, whites and greens to these flowers, and I am so glad she did. Inspired by the wild flowers that grow in Oregon, I focused on color and texture. This new color palette was perfect for her ceremony design: an explosion of colorful flowers attached to a wooden arch overlooking the lake.

I filled modern, clear glass bud vases with colorful blooms like Apricot Lemonade Cosmos, blue Delphinium, orange Marigolds, coral Snapdragons and more. They made a subtle impact but brought the wildflower vibes to the reception.

Flowers used cosmos, delphinium, marigolds, dahlias, feverfew, snapdragons, roses, snowberry and coreopsis.
