An Elegant White Wedding at Mt. Hood Organic Farms in Hood River Oregon
Nestled amongst rows of heirloom apples and pears is a sweet little venue called Mt. Hood Organic Farms. It is famous for its panoramic views of Mt. Hood, the historic Apple House, amazing food and more. This venue is a quintessential Oregon location sure to wow your out-of-town guests, and it was the perfect backdrop for Jasmine and Sam’s classic & elegant white wedding. Guests from the West and East coast gathered to celebrate this couple on this beautifully warm Summer evening.
Jasmine grew up in Portland, Oregon in a stunning house with an impressive garden so it was important to her that we incorporate some of the florals her mother was growing into her bridal bouquet. As you can see, Jasmine and Sam chose elegant, timeless details so the floral design was an opportunity to add some playfulness and whimsy.
The ceremony design was inspired by organic, airy textures that would be impactful yet cohesive with the surrounding landscape. We were very intentional about floral selection and design so that we could preserve that iconic view. We paired the arch with two statement floral arrangements to mark the beginning of the aisle and balance out the florals.
The reception was help in the historic Apple House. If you are lucky to have visited Mt. Hood Organic Farms, then you likely remember it’s unique architecture, stunning floor-to-ceiling-windows and handcrafted tile work. It is already a beautiful space so we made sure to choose florals and arrangements that, like the ceremony design, accentuated the space. We went with two types of centerpieces: a long, rectangular floral centerpiece designed in low ceramic white vases overflowing with garden-inspired florals, and a combination of bud vases and small floral centerpieces. Each table was dotted with slender white pillar candles and glass hurricanes wrapping guests in the most romantic warm lighting as they dance the night away.
A lot of people throw around the word timeless, but I truly believe Jasmine and Sam will look back on these photos and it will feel and look like it was just yesterday. Cheers!
